her teeth

I am at the cusp of 31

about to finish my 30th year living in my mother's home

a type of solitude I wouldn't wish on my peers

a type of solitude I would wish on my peers

I should be painting, running a successful studio

yet 

I am struggling to maintain a flossing regimen

got my first tooth fillings at 30

got my first real feelings at 30

about the future, about the quality of my faith

if it still exists

I feel the opposite end of the spectrum too

a timelessness and a surrender

to be where my feet are

to allow the clock to follow my lead

to be old and young

to be eternal
