My 5 Day Lookbook for #SAFashionWeekSS17

I should say, SA Fashion Week was fun this time around :) I wasn't alone, my friends came and they turned it into something memorable for me. I was going through the most during the week so they managed to cheer me up, and how better to cheer a person up than to play dress up for 5 days! Well Some days I just wore clothes for the sake of it, but I do have some favourites from the 5 looks I wore.

I am so often met with bad luck when it comes to fashion week - if you keep up with my posts you'll understand why I say this - however, this time around bad luck turned into humour and I kinda felt great about the whole event in general.

DAY 1

All the fashion bloggers and influencers pulled through on day 1, it was quite interesting seeing beautiful strangers I follow on Instagram lol. I took pics of some of them. The shows on Day 1 were packed so I couldn't find a proper seat, but I enjoyed them nonetheless.

Day 2

Day 2 was lit because my friend Khensani was there with me. That girl is magic guys check her blog out www.glitterdaquiri.com since we had no tickets she managed to befriend the bar attenders and we got free drinks the whole evening. You need tickets to get drinks lol. She basically made the evening lit. I'm sometimes shy so she encouraged me to take a photo at the Sunglass hut photo booth.

Day 3

My whole squad pulled through on Day 3, and we still got free drinks without tickets yo. I also noticed that I'm really so reserved in public and it's difficult for me to socialise with new people (as I search WikiHow to be more social). Palesa came with me this time. I've learned that fashion week becomes fun when you go with good friends who love fashion. Last year I went solo and it was a bit horrible.

Day 4

Day 4 was the most spontaneous like ever. After the show, my friends and I chilled in the parking lot for over an hour, well we (they) had met some people to talk to, I was honestly tired because I had school earlier haha. We ended up going to McDonald's at 1AM. Fashion Week became a party because of my squad, they were my lucky charms no lie.

Day 5

I wanted to try the "Instagram baddie" look on the last day, I think it failed lol, mainly because I did not beat my face fully and accessorize. So only one of my friends came out and we saw the show, as soon as she left the most embarrassing thing happened. I wanted to buy Chinese food inside the mall, I placed an order (thinking that I had enough money on my card) and then it declined twice lolololol I started panicking and I told the waitress to cancel my order. She said she can't because they've started cooking. I then excused myself to go to the toilet before the food came and I never returned lolololol. This was wild lol, I guess when I am alone at fashion week all the bad luck follows me :") I'm being superstitous but it's so true.

  2. I'm not a fashionista, but I just drew inspiration from the fact that you are shy and how difficult it is for you to socialise but you still go for what you love and are passionate about, even when this industry sorta requires you to be out there. The images you take and your writing shows you have love this. Keep up the good work! Btw I love your simplistic style, I am to wear like this more often.
